There are those who have a creative idea ever three minutes and I'm likely one of them. Of course, this means I'm a constant state of distraction by, er, myself. Those who don't understand call it ADD. I've been pushing myself to stay focused on the album and its release, but the more I read and seek out how to do this guerrilla style on the Internet, the less I know how to organize my time. Of course, it will come together. In fact, Hero of the Month this month is a high school friend, Heather, who's a ghost hunter and clairvoyant in Tucson. She just gave me a fabulous tarot reading for a dandy price that put two of my worries over two big decisions to rest. I've been to a few "psychics," to say the least, and was quite excited to learn she was in business knowing I could trust her. Hmm. I hope ghost hunter isn't a derogatory term. Ah, well, check her out!

We nearly moved to a beautiful place a bit too pricey for us wonderfully nestled away in Woodland Hills yet a mile and a half away from bustling Ventura Blvd. The hefty deposit stressed me out a bit because I expected the landlord wouldn't turn it back over to us in the end. His anal-retention for perfection in the home proved even tighter than my own once was. I left for San Francisco thinking we'd be moving. While I hemmed and hawed I discovered I might have the opportunity to work here all summer, making my decision even more difficult. Heather cautioned I'd be disappointed so we confidently turned it down!

During the re-record of some vocals in Oakland, CA, an investment opportunity starting at ten grand and slowly progressing upwards of $22,000 chipped away at my sanity. I wasn't the investor, but the investee! This chance began with my mini-producer offer for Liquid Reality, but the gentleman involved seemed to me to want to be far less than silent. We even argued over whether or not I was being sensitive because I have a history of being bought and neglected by rich white men who think somehow they can bottle my essence. I was sensitive and, in fact, have come to learn the warning signs! What's with people making money to make up for who knows what in hopes to buy friendships and that je ne sais quoi? I, and those around me, felt the suffocation happening before I'd seen a dime so I essentially said, "Put up AND Shut up." Heather approved. In fact, she anticipates quite a success if I remain focused on music.

I'm moving forward and keeping my real ties in tact by moving forward with the video, now set to film on July 10.
If the re-mastering of the CD goes well, I hope to announce a launch date for the entire CD this month.
My logo, designed by Erick with the help of my MINI-PRODUCERS, is now ready for business cards, checks, and maybe balloons!
Meanwhile, I've been sharing my tales about auditioning with Grosse Pointe Theater's Newsletter and itcasting.biz and but I'd love to post my rants on backstage.com and they explicitly say if you've got someone you like reading, refer them to blogs@backstage.com . When you have a moment, please, refer them to www.amyarena.com/blog !
Now then, enough about me. What about this? http://www.ifitwasmyhome.com The oil spill is so unbelievably massive and unstoppable. I'd love to hear your thoughts, be pointed to sites you know of, and organizations you believe in that surround this. As an animal activist, environmentalist, and humanist this has really disgusted me, as I hope it has disgusted everyone.

Seems solar is the way. Uh-Duuuuuuhh!

PS Little known fact - Jeremy had a Tarot reader tell him he'd meet his queen the night we met. No, I wasn't there and didn't pay her off.

PPS My friend Kevin is giving away an iPad if you buy one of his fabulous saunas. More on him to come. Check my site!
